New work
So today is my first shift at my new work.
3pm to 11pm (hello nighlife)
I am super excited and I should admit it now:
I’ve got cold feet.
I know first days are always hard (and it’s not like that job is news to me) but what if I don’t like it?
What if I hate it?
Was this really the right decision?
I always thought my Berlin job was the worst of the worst but now I wonder.
What if it wasn’t?
I am sure almost everything will be fine once I’ve settled in.
I just got too much time in the last two weeks.
I always get a bit nervous after a longer period of ‘no work at all’.
All I know is that I’ll be working with some very interesting characters.
It has never been hard for me to adjust to new people but nevertheless it’s still super exhausting.
Especially in a very stressful job where everybody reacts differently to this kind of stress.
Yeah well.
I have been ‘the new one’ so many times and I guess I will be again so I am going to shut up now.
Think of the ocean Sarah, just think of the ocean and remind yourself that you’ll be able to watch the sunset every day of this week.
Oh I hope summer’s coming soon.

This bird and many of its ancestors before it live in one of the local shops around here.
Right behind the wine bottles.
Sometimes you see him flutter around the shop and there are only a few people that are still surprised.
Mostly tourists.
It’s commonly known that there always has been and will be a birdy in the shop.
First time I actually saw it this close.
Couldn’t resist taking this picture.
Oh dear.
Something must have happened at the local hospital.
An emergency helicopter just landed there and this never happens unless someone is in a very bad condition and needs to get off this island asap.
Funny thing.
You never wonder about such things in a big city.
But here you are aware of everything.
